While a new proposal is currently underway – this 2010 proposal formed part of the initial works that evolved from listening and collaborating with the Squamish Nation about this very land.
From the earliest stages, the community was looking to rebuild in a way that respects nature and that these stories be shared through the works. We were grateful to visit the site and be hosted on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Squamish Nation.
Attending BC’s 35th Annual Elders Gathering was one of the privilege’s of the process we had in learning and having our initial dialogues. The following proposal is the result of those discussions and that collaboration.
